Joachim Walltins hilsen i anledning NISOs 30-årsjubileum

Det er en glede å overbringe Joachim Walltins hilsen i anledning NISOs 30 års-markering. Han slår fast at NISO er en veldig viktig organisasjon for idrettsutøvere, og takker for jobben som gjøres for utøveres interesser og rettigheter både under og etter karrieren. Han trekker i tillegg frem forbundets solide fundament og den enorme utviklingen som vi har hatt som gjennom disse årene.

Joachim har 271 kamper på toppnivå i norsk fotball og ble cupvinner med VIF i 1997. Han har selv vært en meget sentral skikkelse og skal ha en stor del av æren for NISOs virke og utvikling. Medlem av NISO siden starten i 1995, tillitsvalgt for flere fotballklubber, nestleder og forbundsleder i NISOs styre. Formelt tok han over som forbundsleder etter Silje Vaadal under landsmøtet i 2010, men var konstituert forbundsleder allerede fra 2009. De siste fem årene har Joachim Walltin vært generalsekretær i FIFPRO Europe. Jeg er selv veldig stolt og glad for ha vært en del av den historien [med utøveres interesser og rettigheter - red. anm.], sier Walltin. Det er veldig gledelig å se utviklingen dere har hatt. Jeg ser frem til å følge dere i fortsettelsen og ønsker dere masse lykke til, avslutter han. NISO takker for hyggelige ord og ser frem til videre arbeid, nye utviklingsprosesser og samarbeid, både nasjonalt og internasjonalt!

It is a pleasure to convey Joachim Walltin’s greetings on the occasion of NISO’s 30th anniversary. He emphasizes that NISO is a very important organization for athletes, and expresses his gratitude for the work being done to safeguard athletes’ interests and rights – both during and after their careers. He also highlights the union’s solid foundation and the tremendous development it has undergone over the years.

Joachim played 271 matches at the top level in Norwegian football and won the cup with VIF in 1997. He has been a highly central figure himself and deserves much of the credit for NISO’s work and growth. A NISO member since its founding in 1995, he has served as a player representative for several football clubs, vice president, and president of NISO’s board. He formally took over as president following Silje Vaadal at the national congress in 2010, but had already been acting president since 2009. For the past five years, Joachim Walltin has served as General Secretary of FIFPRO Europe.
